JOB FUNCTION
The Sales Effectiveness Specialist will work closely with Sales teams in the Customer Development Organization (CDO) and cross-functional partners to improve capabilities, document current and new processes, and streamline work that will drive and promote growth. Will be responsible to coordinate and communicate Sales priorities aligned with company’s growth and profit objectives. Will be the subject matter expert in the Trade Planning System and support Sales by leveraging reporting and analytics. Requires the ability to work in a dynamic environment where job requirements and daily priorities are very fluid which may include expanding scope to assist with company acquisition projects.
JOB ACTIVITIES AND DUTIES
- A primary point of contact for assigned Customers/Sales VP by territory.
- Support Sales and external Broker partners with the Trade Planning System through reporting, communication, and projects as assigned.
- Collaborate with Customer Solutions to resolve customer purchase order mismatches between customer invoices and the Trade Planning System.
- Assist in the tracking and execution of new item launches including sample requests.
- Collaborate with Customer Strategy & Execution Sales Planners on reducing Excess Inventory by offering monthly visibility to available inventory to Sales and Broker partners.
- Coordinate the invoice requests of Secondary inventory to third party vendors monthly.
- Partner with Supply Chain Planning on short lead requests and management of overstock products.
- Analyze customer slotting and conversion requests to ensure favorable payback through the Distribution App.
- Assist Sales with internal sales strategy guidelines and trade expectations including pricing and/or programs based on customer and product priorities.
- Work with cross-functional project teams that address specific, unique business needs.
- Assists Sales with questions regarding Accounts Receivable open deduction reporting to ensure accurate resolution.
- Key contact for company acquisition projects to assist with processes and systems testing, training and rollout.
This role is located at the Lakeville, MN Corporate office
Typical hybrid schedule includes 3 days in-office with remote flexibility up to 2 days a week. #LI-hybrid
JOB COMPLEXITY
Relationships: Primary internal contact is with all levels of Sales as well as other cross-functional groups including Marketing, Supply Demand, Customer Solutions, and Accounts Receivable. The ability to effectively communicate and influence all members of the Sales force as well as cross- functional business partners is critical to the success of this role. During times of acquisitions, primary job function scope will increase by providing a consultation role to ensure the new business partners are trained on processes and systems.
Travel: Up to 10% of time.
