We are tasked with staffing the Augusta VA Healthcare System for Emergency Department (ED) Physician's Assistant or Nurse Practitioner. The Emergency Department Physicians is expected to perform the following:
- Providing comprehensive medical care to patients, using sound medical knowledge and pertinent standards of care.
- Performing therapeutic, corrective, and prescriptive measures on designated inpatients or outpatients.
- Assuming delegatory responsibilities assigned by supervising physicians.
- Educating patients and families to facilitate healthy adjustment to new or changed health patterns.
- Evaluating treatment and healthcare plans for effectiveness and modifying them according to clinical standards and practice protocols.
- at least two years of experience in relevant field
- at least Bachelor's in relevant field, Master's preferred
- Valid license and certifications
- BLS/ACLS
- DEA if applicable
