Cetechs is a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) is looking for a Nurse Practitioner to join the Emergency Department team at the Department of Veterans Affairs in Augusta, GA.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Education: A post-master's or Doctoral Degree as a Nurse Practitioner
- Experience: 2 years (will consider 1 year)
- Full Board Certification in an area of clinical specialty from one of the following: ANCC, AANPCB, or nationally recognized certifying body in the area in which Nurse Practitioner is academically prepared
- Active, full, and unrestricted license to practice as an NP in the United States (Any state license accepted)
- Must be a US Citizen
- Active DEA
Duties & Responsibilities:
- The Nurse Practitioner will utilize advanced skills in assessment, problem identification and clarification, treatment, planning and implementation of the patient's treatment plan.
- The Nurse Practitioner will have prescription authority as defined in their scope of practice.
- Uses sound clinical judgment in assessing, planning, implementing, documenting, and evaluating nursing care
- Anticipates and recognizes medical/surgical/psychiatric emergencies and initiates or leads others to implement appropriate and timely actions.
- Uses advanced clinical knowledge/judgment to promote staff involvement in planning, decision-making, and evaluating outcomes.
- Functions as an expert in clinical practice and/or areas related to the assigned roles and responsibilities.
- Systematically evaluates current practice and formulates outcomes for groups of patients and/or organizational processes within area of expertise.
- Uses professional standards of care, scientific evidence, and practice to evaluate programs/service activities.
- Demonstrates grade-appropriate and consistent critical thinking skills.
- Practices in accordance with appropriate Scope of Practice.
