Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our Commercial Sales team. This role is ideal for individuals with a proven track record of exceeding sales targets and a strong desire to accelerate their career growth through highly motivated leadership and mentors at the company. As an SDR, you will play a critical role in driving pipeline growth through inside sales activities, supporting sales presentations, developing marketing and proposal materials, and conducting market research. Your efforts will directly contribute to connecting our solutions with the right customers and enabling the sales team to close deals more efficiently.
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain relationships across employers, benefit consultants and channel partners
- Proactively identify and qualify leads through outbound outreach (email, calls, LinkedIn, etc.), demonstrating persistence and creativity in lead generation efforts.
- Conduct thorough prospecting activities to build and maintain a robust sales pipeline.
- Assist in preparing and customizing compelling sales presentations, pitch decks, and client-facing materials.
- Support the development of proposals and responses to RFPs/RFIs in collaboration with sales, marketing, and product teams.
- Perform in-depth market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and target customers.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date information in CRM systems and sales tracking tools, ensuring data integrity.
- Coordinate with Marketing to align on campaigns, messaging, and lead follow-up strategies.
- Participate in sales calls and demos as needed, capturing key insights and facilitating next steps.
- Track performance metrics (e.g., outreach volume, lead conversion rates) and report regularly to leadership, showcasing accountability and results.
- Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- 1-2 years of experience in sales development, inside sales, or a related role, preferably in a B2B environment.
- Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and achieving measurable results.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage and build rapport with prospects.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, capable of managing multiple tasks and priorities.
- Proficiency in CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and sales enablement tools.
- Self-motivated, ambitious, and eager to rapidly advance within the sales organization.
