Accounts Payable Clerk
Position Overview:
The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for managing and maintaining the company's financial transactions, including processing invoices, and verifying financial data. This role ensures accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions and supports the overall financial health of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable:
- Process and verify invoices, purchase orders, and payment requests.
- Ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments.
- Reconcile accounts payable transactions.
- Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date.
- Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues.
- Maintain vendor files and respond to vendor inquiries.
- Assist in month-end closing and prepare necessary reports.
Qualifications:
- 2-3 years of experience in accounts payable and/or accounts receivable.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Experience with accounting software (Microsoft D365) is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
