Summary
POSTOAK Lodge & Retreat is seeking a Director of Facilities to oversee the management and maintenance of our facilities. This role is vital in ensuring that our work environment is safe, efficient, and conducive to the success of our company.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Maximize team potential with a balanced focus on operations, guests & projects.
- Represents the maintenance department during weekly operations meeting.
- Oversee maintenance tasks, work orders and special projects ensuring timely and accurate completion.
- Respond to guest’s maintenance needs promptly and ensure guests receive professional, efficient and cautious service.
- Maintain physical appearance and operational efficiency of the property including physical, mechanical, electrical systems, plumbing etc.
- Installation and service of all equipment related to HVAC, Water treatment, fire safety etc.
- Ensure proper records are kept relating to all plant and equipment for the property including repair and service records.
- Prepare weekly reports as required by the General Manager.
- Ensure shop is organized and equipment and tools are kept in a clean safe environment.
- Ensure proper use and periodic maintenance of all equipment.
- Perform daily and weekly property inspections.
- Ensure property, grounds and all areas are maintained to standard and all safety equipment and conditions are to code.
- Establish and maintain department equipment and supply inventory levels appropriate to the needs of the property.
- Train maintenance staff of correct procedures and assist in repairs as needed.
- Develop, implement and direct all emergency programs.
- Ensure maintenance staff is wearing proper attire with nametag and uphold grooming and hygiene standards.
- Perform general repair and preventative maintenance related to plumbing, carpentry, electrical, grounds and HVAC for indoor and outdoor buildings and structures.
- Interior and Exterior Painting.
- Familiarity with security alarms and fire systems (changing batteries, resetting systems, etc).
- Maintains the grounds and flower and shrub beds as needed, including but not limited to, mowing, weeding by hand and by power tools, planting and removing shrubs, flowers and small trees, watering, and application of herbicides.
- Maintains walking and hiking paths, heavy outdoor activity elements.
- Keeps grounds clean, removes trash, and cleans trash cans. Assists housekeeping by removing trash from lodges.
- Keep sidewalks, porches and roads clean and clear during inclement weather by shoveling and using mechanical means.
- Cuts and stacks wood.
- Construction including but not limited to drywall, baseboards, ceiling repair and furniture.
- Repair of electrical and mechanical equipment and systems (including heating and air units), and minor plumbing and electrical issues.
- Pool and spa maintenance.
- Assists with set up and tear down of chairs, event spaces, tents, and outdoor venues.
Prerequisites
Advanced knowledge of building management/engineering with positive attitude, good communication skills and commitment to delivering high level productivity and guest service.
Team Responsibilities
- Supports the mission, vision and values of POSTOAK Lodge & Retreat.
- Quickly responds and remediates guest concerns related to maintenance issues.
- Works with maintenance team, sharing duties and equipment.
Skills and Qualifications
- Required Education and Experience: High school diploma or GED, Proof of meeting Oklahoma state requirements regarding auto licensing, driver’ license.
- Preferred Education and Experience: Pool certification, OSHA regulations, HVAC, welding, electrical, construction, masonry, heavy equipment operating and plumbing certifications.
