About this Role

Human Resources Assistant

 

Potelco, a leading utility construction company, is seeking a dynamic Human Resources Assistant to join our team in Sumner, WA. As part of the HR department, you will play a crucial role maintaining our HR records, processes, supporting our Senior HR Manager, and contributing to the overall success of Potelco. This is an on-site role with a dynamic and fast paced team, due to business needs this position will require some over-time hours to be worked.

This is an hourly role with a range of $30-$38/hour. 

What You'll Do

Administrative Duties (75%)

 

· Maintain employee personnel files, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.

· Regularly audit personnel files to ensure that we have all required documents and ensure accuracy of information.

· Work cross-functionally to ensure that employees are entered into company databases correctly.

· Generate reports and analyze HR metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.

 

 

Employee Lifecycle (25%)

 

· Work closely with the Senior HR Manager to build and refine HR processes and policies, ensuring compliance with local and federal regulations.

· Contribute to the development of training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.

· Assist and educate employees on benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other related benefits.

· Other duties as regarded

What You'll Bring

• 1 years of experience in human resources.• Ability to cross-collaborate and prioritize potentially conflicting priorities. • Knowledge of employment laws and regulations a plus.• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.• Attention to detail, and a sense of urgency on time-sensitive tasks. • Union experience preferred. • Ambitious and results-driven.• Multi-state experience preferred.• Complex data entry experience preferred.• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Compensation Range

The anticipated compensation for this position is USD $30.00/Hr. - USD $38.00/Hr. depending on experience and qualifications.
