We are seeking a Professional licensed Tax Preparer to join our team for the upcoming tax season, with opportunities to return for future seasons. This is a seasonal, full-time, fully remote-eligible position, designed to offer flexibility and a supportive work environment. You will collaborate with a dedicated team of tax professionals who are committed to mentoring and providing resources to help you thrive.
Position Overview :
Job Type : Full-Time, Seasonal
Location : Fully Remote Eligible (Must hold a California CPA, EA, or CRTP license)
Compensation : Competitive, commensurate with experience (If Range required $25 -$40 per hour).
Key Responsibilities :
Prepare primarily 1040 tax returns, with knowledge of 1041 returns as a plus.
Utilize Intuit Lacerte tax software efficiently for processing and reviewing returns (required).
Use client-provided data to prepare estimated tax projections for the following year.
Organize and mark workpapers in accordance with internal procedures.
Review client information for potential errors, discrepancies.
Review prior-year returns to analyze and identify any missing information.
Create missing information reports for internal review and client communication.
Prepare tax returns with a focus on accuracy, ensuring no data entry errors.
Record and track time accurately using the practice management system.
Work collaboratively & assist other team members to manage workloads & meet deadlines.
Knowledge & Experience :
Active Licensed California CPA / EA / CRTP (Able to practice in CA Preferred)
4 years of tax season experience
Outstanding English and clear written and oral communication skills with clients and team
Lacerte Experience Required
