Poughkeepsie Nissan’s high-volume Service Department is seeking to add motivated Service Advisors to provide the highest level of luxury experience with integrity and provide the utmost care and attention for our customers.
While previous experience as a Service Consultant/Advisor or Mechanic is preferred, we are open to training the ideal candidate with a background in the automotive industry. We strongly encourage individuals with prior experience in Service or Parts Departments within Auto, RV, Powersport, or Marine Dealerships to apply!

Responsibilities – Service Advisor:
- Schedule appointments for service/maintenance/recall work
- Greet customers and inspect their vehicle
- Conduct all business with sincerity, honesty, and genuine concern for customer
- Listen to customer’s reason(s) for bringing their vehicle to the service department
- Advise customers about necessary/suggested services and costs
- Follow the status of the customer's vehicle from service bay entry through completion of work
- Keep customers informed of any changes that occur
- Upon completion of work, review work order with customer to assure all concerns are addressed
- Other duties may be assigned
Qualifications – Service Advisor:
Previous Service Advisor experience is preferred, but we will train the right candidate with an automotive background to succeed!- Previous work history as a Warranty / Insurance Adjuster or a Service Tech/ Mechanic translates well in this position
- General knowledge of vehicle mechanical operations is preferred
- Good customer service and communication skills
- Works well in a fast-paced environment
- Professional appearance and a positive attitude
- Good work ethic and computer skills
- Valid driver's license and good driving record
