What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Veterinary Assistant position at Poulsbo Animal Clinic?
Poulsbo Animal Clinic is seeking a Lead Veterinary Assistant to join our team! This is a great opportunity for someone that is looking to take the next step in their career.
In this role, you will perform standard veterinary assisting duties such as assist during exams and outpatient care, maintain detailed medical records, review treatment plans, assist LVTs and doctors during surgery and address client's questions. Additionally, you will help train and mentor, handle team scheduling, monitor hospital flow to help maximize efficiency, and ensure safety protocols are followed.
This is a full-time position, with a 4-10 hour schedule and availability needed Monday-Thursday.
Full-time benefits and compensation:
- Compensation: $20-24/hour, based on experience and skillset
- Bonus package: $500 for those with 3 years of consecutive, current VA experience

Minimum qualifications and skillset:
- 3 years of veterinary experience in a clinical setting
- Proficiency in the following skills:
- Surgical assistance
- Venipuncture and injections
