Our Civil Division is seeking an experienced Laborer & Concrete Mason.
Job Summary:
This position involves a blend of general construction labor tasks and specialized support for masonry projects. The ideal candidate will be a versatile and hardworking individual capable of contributing to various aspects of construction, with a particular emphasis on concrete work, and other masonry-related activities.
Specific duties of the Laborer & Mason will include, but not be limited to:
- Material handling, such as transporting lumber, concrete, and other construction materials.
- Site preparation, including clearing debris, leveling ground, and setting up scaffolding.
- Operating and maintaining hand and power tools.
- Install rebar, assist with formwork, concrete pouring, and other general construction tasks.
- Demolition and cleanup of construction sites.
- Following safety protocols and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
Requirements:
- Experience in concrete placement, concrete formwork and CMU installation.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong team player.
- OSHA 10 certification is a plus
Working Conditions and Physical Effort:
- Work involves frequent exposure to challenging environmental conditions, including extreme temperatures, toxic chemicals, biohazardous materials, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, and loud noises.
- Significant physical activity is required, including heavy lifting, pushing, and pulling.
- Comfort working at heights is essential.
Compensation:
- $24.00-$28.00 per hour based on experience
