Custodian

Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Custodian to join our team. As a Custodian, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for our employees, visitors, and customers.

Good to know:

• Hours are flexible, but we are looking for Monday through Friday between the hours of 8am and 5pm
• You will be in contact with basic cleaning chemicals
• You may be in contact with bodily fluids in the bathroom
• We do not have unlimited hours for this position, but you are welcome to find extra cleaning to do to obtain more hours than posted
• This is a diesel shop, so you will get dirty!

Responsibilities are as follows.

Daily:

• Take out all trash bins and replacing liners in offices and common areas
• Clean dishes in the sink
• Wash out sinks in kitchen and bathrooms
• Clean toilets/urinals
• Sweep and mop kitchen, bathrooms, common areas
• Wipe down all surfaces
• Pick up trash in common areas and parking lots
• Sweep parking lots using the magnetic broom to pick up debris and nails (you'll be a tire-saver!)
• Restock low/missing supplies (hand soap, paper towels, toilet paper, urinal cakes)
• Wiping down walls, windows, and anything else that looks dirty

Weekly:

• Clean windows
• Sweep and mop hallways
• Vacuum offices and stairs
• Put supplies away (as needed) and break down boxes, organize shelves, restock supplies in appropriate locations
• Dust air vents
• Clean out drains as needed
• Clean any other areas as needed

We have 5 total buildings located on the same street within walking distance. One of these buildings (the Race Shop, which is primarily used by the owners of the company) will only need to be visited once or twice weekly to clean one bathroom, take out trash, pick up any old sodas or cans left around the shop and restock their mini fridge with drinks.

The remaining buildings should be visited daily to take out trash and clean bathrooms at a minimum. Weekly, they all need offices vacuumed/swept, windows cleaned, etc.

You must be an independent and driven employee to be the correct fit for this role. Pay raises will be awarded for extended exemplary performance. We also have monthly, company-wide catered lunch and host frequent team building activities.
