Key Responsibilities :
Design and Drafting :
Develop detailed mechanical designs and layouts for industrial building systems, including HVAC, piping, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
Utilize CAD and BIM software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) to create 2D and 3D models, schematics, and construction documents.
Collaboration and Coordination :
Work closely with architects, structural engineers, and other disciplines to ensure mechanical systems are effectively integrated.
Participate in design reviews and project meetings to address design challenges and provide solutions.
Analysis and Calculations :
Perform load calculations, airflow analysis, and equipment sizing to optimize system performance
Ensure designs adhere to energy efficiency standards and sustainability goals.
Compliance and Standards :
Ensure all designs meet applicable codes, standards, and regulations, such as ASHRAE, NFPA, and local building codes.
Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices in mechanical design for industrial buildings.
Documentation and Support :
Prepare technical reports, specifications, and equipment schedules.
Provide technical support during construction, including responding to RFIs and reviewing submittals.
Requirements :Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Design, or a related field. Equivalent experience with relevant certifications may be considered.
- Experience :
- Familiarity with industrial environments such as warehouses, manufacturing facilities, and data centers.
3 years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in industrial or commercial buildings.
