We are seeking a highly skilled Substation Electrical Engineer to join our team at Power Engineers Incorporated. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who want to work on challenging projects and contribute to the growth of our company.
Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed designs for low to extra-high voltage substations, including one-line diagrams, schematics, wiring diagrams, SCADA systems, communications systems, station physical layouts, sections/elevations, cable and conduit plans, ground grid design, foundation plans, structural plans, control enclosure design, lightning protection plans, yard lighting plans, and bills of materials.
- Support quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) for deliverables to clients.
- Learn, understand, and adhere to client standards and processes while working individually or within a team to complete complex and technically challenging designs.
- Occasional travel may be required.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or Electrical Engineering Technology (BSEET) from an accredited university, preferably with a power option.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of electrical engineering principles.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with internal team members and external client personnel.
- Legally authorized to work permanently in the U.S. without the need for work sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Three months of relevant electrical engineering work experience, which could include internships or co-op programs.
- Minimum 3.0 Grade Point Average (GPA).
- Familiarity with electrical utility substations and substation design principles.
- Engineer In Training certificate (EIT) or Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam completion.
