Entry-Level Geotechnical Engineer
Power Engineers is seeking a highly motivated, Entry-Level Geotechnical Engineer for full-time employment in our Boise, ID office in the Geostructural Department.
Job Summary of Roles and Responsibilities
This geotechnical engineer must be proficient in interpersonal communication skills that would allow the individual to work with other experienced engineers in a team environment.
We are looking for an individual with knowledge / interest in subsurface investigations, shallow and deep foundation design for drilled piers, micropiles, driven piles, helical piles, and vibratory caissons.
Additionally, this geotechnical engineer should have the knowledge, familiarity, or understanding of slope stability evaluation and mitigation, settlement evaluation, groundwater flow mechanics and environmental regulations. The ideal candidate would be comfortable working in remote areas in small teams and navigating using GPS-based tools.
The successful candidate will be involved in supporting the following project aspects :

- Construction Support
- Field Visits
- Continual Technical Growth
- Written and Verbal Coordination
- Both with internal colleagues and client representatives
