Job purpose
This job requires strong computer and customer service skills in conjunction with a solid knowledge in construction equipment and aggregate parts. This position serves with both internal and external customers as must as have the ability to keep a calm during stressful high-call volume and other demanding situations.
Duties and responsibilities
- Shipping Responsibilities include :
- Prepares equipment for shipment for on-time dispatch
- Loads equipment onto trucks
- Fuels equipment and ensures proper SMM stickers & registration for equipment
- Maintains keys and books for equipment
- Checks functions of machinery and proper attachments
- Takes photos of equipment.
- Obtain required signatures and paperwork
- Completes inspection checklist
- Ensures a safe working environment and promotes a culture of safety
- Receiving Responsibilities include :
- Checks fuel level on all equipment after rental returns and on new equipment
- Keeps SMM stickers and registrations current
- Checks in keys and books for equipment
- Checks functions of machinery and proper attachments
- Takes photos of all equipment after rental, reports damages
- Unloads equipment from truck
- Reports to sale and service departments
- Maintains yard and roadways
- Keeps all equipment, including buckets & forks organized per planogram for ease of identification and accessibility
- Completes inspection checklist
- Ensures a safe working environment and promotes a culture of safety.
Qualifications
Working conditions
The employee will generally be working in an office environment. The employee may be required to wear appropriate PPE equipment. The employee could occasionally be exposed to extreme temperatures, fumes, or airborne particles. The noise level in the workplace is moderate.
