We’re a full-service, in-house creative team that is fresh, fast-paced, and innovative, working within the nation’s largest home remodeler to effectively market and communicate the brand story. We are seeking a Copywriter to join our team.
The Copywriter will take the lead in developing breakthrough copy for Power’s external and internal brands. This person has experience thinking big, developing compelling concepts and partnering with senior leadership to bring them to life, as well as being an exceptional writer. They understand how to create and maintain a consistent brand voice and messaging across all deliverables and have experience mentoring less experienced writers to elevate their work. Additionally, the Copywriter will collaborate closely with designers, art directors, and filmmakers to ensure cohesive storytelling across all visual and written content. This individual will support external and internal projects across advertising, traditional and digital marketing, events, technology, product animation, and social media.

This person is highly organized, proactive, detail-oriented, and takes direction well. This role works closely with the entire Brand team, and reports to the Vice President of Creative Services.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Lead the creative development of internal and external writing projects and campaigns.
- Establish and uphold Power’s brand voice ensuring consistency in tone, style, and messaging across all platforms.
- Collaborate with our design, special events, video production, photography, digital marketing, and social media teams to craft compelling and persuasive messaging for our internal and external brand.
- Develop copy for a range of mediums including awareness advertising (scripts, headlines, CTA’s), targeted digital media, website content, and personalized customer communication.
- Able to take lengthy product jargon, scripting, concepts, and processes and explain them to a lay audience in clear, digestible steps.
- Possess strong self management skills and ability to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously, consistently delivering a high quality product within the project deadlines.
- Mentor and guide junior writers, helping them enhance their skills and deliver exceptional content.
- Strong understanding of brand voice, messaging, and consistency in all communications.
- Strong presentation skills
- Experience partnering with designers, art directors, and filmmakers to create unified creative work.
- Strong creative vision with an understanding of business objectives.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in English, Education, Journalism, Advertising & Communications, or a related field.
- 5-7 years of relevant professional experience, agency background a plus.
- Strong portfolio representing a range of copywriting styles including script writing for short form content, headlines, long form copy, taglines.
- Proven experience leading copy or content teams, with a strong conceptual ability to develop and execute big ideas.
- Expertise creating content in Pages, Keynote, and Numbers.
- Strong presentation and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional grammar, punctuation, proofing, and editing skills.

Work Environment
- The Copywriter works in a hybrid office environment. Some travel may be required.
