What are the responsibilities and job description for the HR Generalist position at Power Home Remodeling?
POSITION SUMMARY :
This role serves as a trusted advisor to employees, fostering a positive workplace culture and ensuring alignment with best practices and legal requirements.
The HR Generalist will lead the People functions at the territory level including onboarding, compliance, policy and procedures, administrative duties, and culture ambassador.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES / ESSENTIAL DUTIES :
- Manage the integrity and confidentiality of human resources files and records.
- Partners with Territory Leadership to understand and execute Power's People Division and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning.
- Manages processes that result in accurate and up-to-date people files, records, and documentation.
- Daily reviewing people files and records to ensure that documents are accurately completed, filed appropriately, and meet compliance standards.
- Facilitating pre-onboarding and onboarding system entries and new hire MVRs when applicable.

- HRIS (Nitro) processing errors : Hire, Change Job, Term.
- Ensure adherence to labor laws and regulations, keeping up-to-date with changes in employment legislation.
- Handles employment related inquires for applicants, employees, and managers; referring complex and / or sensitive matters to appropriate staff.
- Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
- Plans, communicates, and facilitates new hire orientation.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in People Resources, Talent Management, and employment law.
- Support initiatives aimed at enhancing organizational effectiveness and employee satisfaction.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to organizational projects and initiatives.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
