What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounts Payable Clerk position at Power Monitors, Inc.?
The Accounts Payable Clerk’s primary responsibility is to match, review, and process vendor invoices. The A/P Clerk also processes expense reports, check requests, and various other outgoing payments for company operations.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Process vendor invoices
- Schedule timely vendor payments and check runs
- Scan and file payment documentation after the payments are made
- Monitor all open POs and follow up with the respective team members to resolve issues
- Research and resolve open AP issues with business counterparts and vendors
- Run and review AP aging reports
- Assist with month end closing procedures
- Other accounting duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Associates or Bachelor Degree preferred
- Looking for a minimum of 3-5 years of experience with A/P.
- High level of organization (multi-tasking) and communication (verbal and written) skills required
- Adaptability - the individual adapts to changes in the work environment, manages competing demands and is able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events.
- Dependability - the individual is consistently at work and on time, follows instructions, responds to management direction and solicits feedback to improve performance.
