Position : Field Services Technician
Department : Assembly
Direct Report To : Assembly Manager
PowerBuilt is a leading provider of turn-key material handling solutions, specializing in lift assist, conveyor systems, controls, automation, and pre-engineered equipment. Our clients include some of the largest automotive, appliance, aerospace, and heavy truck manufacturers across North America. As we continue to expand, we are seeking talented individuals to join our team and contribute to our ongoing growth and innovation.
Responsibilities :
Assembly of custom engineered tools by utilizing :
Assembly drawings
Pneumatic & electrical schematics
E-drawings
Installation of pre-engineered tools by utilizing :
Layout drawings
Subcontractors
Heavy equipment
Pre-installation documentation
Maintain a clean work area / appearance in house and onsite for assemblies / installs
Communicating any issues, delays, and overages to the appropriate departments
Travel to customer sites for the installation of PowerBuilt solutions as a professional representative of the company
Professional cross-departmental communication
Communicating resources needed to maintain and manage installation
Testing, troubleshooting, and punch-list management on-site
Completing formal quality checks on-site
Verify completed shipments once received at customer site
Requirements :
Minimum of 4 years mechanical knowledge
Pneumatic & electrical experience
Forklift, boom lift & scissor lift experience
High school or equivalent education
Ability and willingness to travel often for installations at customer facilities
Reliable transportation to and from manufacturing facility
Ability to pass a motor vehicle record check
Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite
Leadership experience
Provide your own hand tools (PowerBuilt provides all power tools needed)
Good written and verbal communication skills
Excellent work ethic & time management
Reliable team member
Ability to stand, kneel, and lift up to 50lbs
