Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain splicing records, schematics and diagrams
- Installing preparing maintaining fiber optic cables wires and plug in equipment to connect telecom systems and equipment
- Perform routine maintenance, recognize and repair route issues
- Follow design engineers instructions
- Perform work in accordance with industry standards
Must haves:
- Out of town/overnight travel ability
- Positive Attitude - We love happy employees!
- Valid driver's license
- At least one year of connecting fiber optic cable
- Fiber optic design and installation
- Ability to take direction/willingness to learn
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently
- Ability to work outside year round in various weather conditions
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs
Experience:
- Experience in design techniques, tools and principles
- Production precision technical plans, blueprints drawings and models
- Understanding of how to read stacking sheets
- Proficient in current computerized operations
