Location:
- The position will be based in the Wayne, PA area
- Remote administrative work; in-person for coaching duties
- Occasional travel to selected tournaments both locally and nationally
Position Description:
PowerHouse Field Hockey Builds the Complete Athlete. The Coach & Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the execution of Club Programs for PowerHouse Field Hockey in coordination with PowerHouse company directors. The Coach & Operations Manager will also be in charge of coordinating and coaching PowerHouse Field Hockey Camps and Clinics. Club Program responsibilities include but are not limited to selecting teams/tournaments to attend, running lessons/small groups, performing administrative duties, as well as delivering coaching expertise and providing strategic insight in all field hockey tournaments and practices.
Experience/Qualifications/Requirements:
- 4 years’ experience in field hockey not including high school (can be combined playing and coaching)
- College playing experience preferred
- Minimum 2 years’ coaching experience
- Strong leadership, organizational, interpersonal, and networking skills
- Demonstrated track record of success as a high impact, hands-on, collaborative contributor
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; Strategic Thinker
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and implement Training Programs that encompass the team culture of PowerHouse Field Hockey - including building practice, camp and clinic curriculums; scheduling high performance tournaments; selecting team rosters; and overseeing PowerHouse Assistant Coaches
- Coach camps, club practices, tournaments, clinics, high intensity sessions, skills conditioning, and lessons.
- Perform administrative activities throughout the week. Including, but not limited to – Answering emails, organizing player registrations, ordering apparel/equipment, scheduling, customer management, inputting data into excel or word document for records, etc.
- Be an integral part of the vision, strategy, culture, and execution for all aspects of PowerHouse.
- Embody the brand of PowerHouse and be involved in any outreach or extension of the brand.
