OVERVIEW :

Responsible for electrical repair / troubleshooting and lighting maintenance / re-lamping duties throughout live retail locations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

Read and interpret work orders to perform required maintenance / service / installation on lighting fixtures.
Visually and physically inspect all lighting, diagnose problems when necessary and perform needed corrections / installation.
Report any project issues through chain of command, especially those affecting costs / scope of work.
Replace all types of ballasts.
Replace specialty lamps.
Replace all types of fluorescent, incandescent, high intensity discharge (HID) and light emitting diode (LED) lamps.
Ability to operate scissor lift and boom lift for exterior re-lamping.
Document and report all issue to avoid recurrence of defects or service issues.
Demonstrate safe and responsible use of tools.
Communicate clearly and proactively to teammates to ensure timely completion of duties.
Maintain a professional appearance and attitude at all times.
Participate in all training opportunities.
Willing to travel 100% throughout state of Texas, or designated area as determined by the Manager.
Must have a working knowledge of basic inventory processes including strong math skills.
Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
Must work well with teams of other technicians.

Requirements

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, and TRAINING :

Journeyman or Apprentice License preferred but not required.

Relevant experience in retail / construction lighting environment.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS :

Valid driver's license required.

COMPUTER SKILLS :

Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications and applicable software systems. Must be computer literate and able to navigate on a tablet or smart phone.

Ability to move equipment including pushing, pulling, bending and climbing.

Ability to read and understand work instructions.

Ability to climb and work off ladders at heights above 8'.

This position works in an environment with moderate noise level. (Examples : retail construction setting with power tools, construction noise).

Working in an area where customers may be shopping in a retail setting.
