Powers Health is hiring a Manager IRB – Regulatory Compliance!
Job Description:
Reporting to the Vice President of Compliance, Quality/Risk Management and Medical Staff, the Manager of the Institutional Review Board (IRB) and Regulatory Compliance is responsible for administrative oversight for all operations supporting the functions of the Powers Health Central Institutional Review Board and Gift of Hope/Indiana Eye Bank. Additionally, the Manager of Regulatory Compliance plans, implements, directs and facilitates activities to support system- wide compliance with laws, rules and regulations related to coding, billing and revenue cycle management.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required in health-related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- Certified IRB Professional (CIP) in good standing or the ability to obtain CIP within 12 months from date of employment
- 3 - 5 years minimum experience in human subjects research, human subjects protections administration and/or regulatory compliance required.
- Experience with federal regulations and standards including Human Subject Protections, HIPAA, Good Clinical Practice, the Declaration of Helsinki and the Belmont Report
- Analytical skills and ability to problem-solve within the framework of major federal regulatory requirements, state laws, accreditation standards and institutional policies and procedures
- Familiarity with quantitative and qualitative research methods.
- Supervisory/management experience preferred.
- Competent Microsoft Office skills which may include Outlook, Work, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and other web-based applications.
- May produce complex documents, perform analysis and maintain databases.
