Project Executive - Powers & Sons Construction - Chicago, IL
Powers & Sons Construction is seeking an experienced Project Executive to join our team starting on the new Bally's Casino & Hotel coming to Chicago. This senior leadership position will be responsible for overseeing large-scale construction projects and managing project teams to ensure successful delivery. Experience in gaming & hospitality is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide executive oversight for multiple construction projects simultaneously, typically ranging from $20M to $100M in value
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships while ensuring exceptional project delivery and client satisfaction
- Lead and mentor project teams, including Project Managers, Superintendents, and other construction professionals
- Establish project goals, objectives, and performance metrics while monitoring progress and ensuring alignment with company standards
- Drive business development initiatives and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, architects, and subcontractors
- Oversee project financials, including budgeting, cost control, forecasting, and profit/loss responsibility
- Implement and maintain quality control and safety programs across all assigned projects
- Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and execute company strategy and growth initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field
- 15 years of progressive experience in commercial construction management, with at least 5 years in an executive role
- Proven track record of successfully managing multiple large-scale construction projects
- Strong understanding of construction methods, building systems, and industry best practices
- Excellence in financial management and proven ability to maintain project profitability
- Outstanding leadership and communication skills with experience managing diverse teams
- Deep knowledge of construction contracts, scheduling, estimating, and risk management
- Active involvement in industry associations and demonstrated commitment to professional development
