Shade Installer
We are seeking a Shade Installer to be part of our progressive Contract Division’s Install Team. Installer’s main function will be installing our high-end interior and exterior manual and motorized window roller shades.
About PowerShades:
We are a new, exciting, growing company located in downtown Joplin. We locally manufacture and Contract Division installs. The sky is the limit with us. We are career path oriented and have great company culture. We need someone with strong work ethic and motivation to grow our small company in a skyrocketing industry.
PowerShades’ Contract Division focuses on large project, multiple shade installs within Multi-Residential (Apartments and Condominiums), Hospitality (Hotels and Motels), Commercial, Educational (Dorms), Hospitals, Public Buildings, etc., but also occasionally provides a one-on-one experience with local businesses and homeowners. We need the candidate to be a company/team player who is flexible and fluid as we continue to grow. We will occasionally need the candidate to help in our manufacturing setting or as needed elsewhere when not installing shades. Candidate will be responsible for coordinating and reporting to the Field Operations Manager for daily activity.
Qualifications
The Ideal candidate has general construction and low voltage wiring experience, can accurately use a tape measure to a 1/16 of an inch, has an eye for high end finished products and is mindful of their surroundings, can competently and safely use hand tools (drill and impact driver mostly), is organized, can present themselves and communicate in a professional manner, works efficiently and effectively, has the ability to be self-motivated to work alone or within a team setting, is mechanically minded, is physically able to climb and work off small ladders, work platforms, equipment and scaffolding, is able to be on their feet all day, is safety minded and oriented while understanding and using proper PPE as necessary, can take direction and able to learn, and lastly have fun while getting the job done.
Requirements:
- A 10-hour OSHA Certification (we will help acquire)
- A valid driver's license and clean driving history
- Able to successfully pass a criminal background check and drug screening
- Able to lift 80 lbs
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
