Job Description:
The Account Executive will be responsible for developing and executing strategic sales plans, building strong customer relationships, and achieving sales targets for our contract manufacturing operations. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including customer service, finance, planning, and site operations leadership to ensure alignment with business objectives and customer needs.
Requirements of the Role (The Must Haves):
- Bachelor’s degree in business and/or technical background.
- 5-10 years of account management or business development experience in the orthopedic marketplace.
- Contract manufacturing sales expertise in orthopedic/medical devices required.
- Ability to construct and negotiate complex agreements.
- Availability to travel up to 30-40%.
- Trusted and Established relationships with key decision makers at high value assigned orthopedic OEMs.
- Experience working with contract manufacturing plants in China preferred
Essential Job Functions:
- This position requires approximately 30% of the time managing current business and 70% of the time identifying and driving new business opportunities.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of Marmon Medical Manufacturing’s processes, capabilities and products.
- Understand and contribute to executing Marmon Medical Manufacturing’s long-term strategic plans, growth strategies and core competencies.
- Work collaboratively and effectively with internal customer service, account managers and engineering teams to maximize account management and sales execution.
- Strengthen and maintain strong relationships with assigned accounts by understanding their business goals, while aligning them with our company growth plans.
- Grow, develop, and maintain relationships with key decision makers and influencers in both horizontal and vertical Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) organizations.
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitors’ actions, and market conditions to provide valuable insights that position our business for success.
- Recognize opportunities for upselling and cross-selling, offering innovative solutions that add value and contribute to the company’s sales objectives.
- Serve as a customer advocate within the organization, ensuring prompt action on client feedback to continuously improve service delivery.
- Devise strategic and tactical plans to increase revenue and profitability from identified accounts while adapting to the changing needs of clients.
- Work with support teams such as the customer service department, engineering and operations, and any other depts. to resolve any issues or conflicts raised by key clients in a timely manner.
- Independently assess overall medical OEM markets within defined accounts and identify key target divisions where MMM service and capabilities have the potential to provide exceptional value.
- Leverage personal industry network to gain access to high value opportunities within key target medical OEMs.
- Maintain alignment and consistency in application of key processes, tools, and behaviors such as quote workflow, presentation content, developing reporting tools, etc.
- Successfully navigate formal and informal internal networks and driving highly effective internal communication
- Ability to identify appropriate projects in all divisions of target clients and close on those projects.
- Collaborate with commercial department to develop marketing activities.
- Meet or exceed new business performance objectives within assigned accounts.
