The Senior Help Desk Technician provides IT support for a government contract, specializing in Tier 1 SharePoint Management and general helpdesk operations across multiple locations within a military facility. The role requires expertise in SharePoint administration, Non-Secure Internet Protocol Router (NIPR) and Secure Internet Protocol Router (SIPR) networks, IT security compliance, and troubleshooting various hardware / software issues.
The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with excellent communication skills, a strong technical background, and the ability to work independently or collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

- Schedule : Monday - Friday, 0700 - 1700
- Security Clearance : REQUIRED AT TIME OF INTERVIEW
Essential Job Functions :
Tier 1 SharePoint Management & Knowledge Management (KM) Administration
Serve as the primary Tier 1 SharePoint Administrator , responsible for site creation, management, and user support.Create and manage SharePoint sites per Knowledge Management (KM) security prerequisites .Set up and maintain SharePoint permissions, ensuring appropriate access control.Educate users on SharePoint features, functionality, and best practices.Upload and manage digital content within SharePoint, ensuring compliance with governance policies.Troubleshoot SharePoint-related issues, including access restrictions, web part installations, and external software integrations.Work closely with end-users to optimize SharePoint capabilities for organizational needs.Help Desk Support & IT Administration
Provide help desk support for more than 750 computer users across multiple locations.Respond to customer issues via phone, email, remote access tools and in-person.Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve hardware and software issues for Windows 11 PCs.Deploy and manage IT assets, including software configuration, imaging, and security patching.Maintain and manage user accounts, permissions, security groups, and network resources.Support local area network (LAN) administration, data file management, and connectivity troubleshooting.Report, track, respond to, and remediate IT threats and vulnerabilities per DoD requirements.Install and configure network and local printers, ensuring proper functionality.Security & Compliance
Ensure IT systems comply with Department of Defense (DoD) security standards .Implement patches and updates to maintain security compliance.Assist with Common Access Card (CAC) authentication troubleshooting.Utilize Active Directory, NetIQ DRA Web Console, and ESD / IAO Express for account management.Use Remedy ServiceNow or other ticketing systems to log, track, and resolve IT issues efficiently.Other Duties as Assigned
Support secure (SIPR) and non-secure (NIPR) network operations.Assist in VPN configuration and troubleshooting.Conduct training and provide user support for IT-related issues.Qualifications & Skills :
Required :
Active Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship required).CompTIA Security Certification (Mandatory).2-4 years of IT support experience, including SharePoint administration, desktops, peripherals, and networks.Experience with Windows 11 configuration and troubleshooting.Familiarity with IT security compliance and DoD Standard Desktop Configuration (SDC) .Experience with ticketing systems such as Remedy and ServiceNow .Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Preferred :
CompTIA A or Network Certification (Preferred but not required).Associate degree in Computer Science or related field .Advanced SharePoint administration experience beyond Tier 1 support.Experience supporting SIPR / NIPR networks.Familiarity with VPN configurations and network troubleshooting.Work Environment & Physical Requirements :
Must be able to lift and move up to 25 lbs.Ability to stand, walk, balance, bend, reach, and use hands for computer-related tasks.Occasionally required to climb ladders, kneel, crouch, or crawl.Work is performed primarily in an office environment, with occasional exposure to outdoor conditions.Low to medium noise levels.Additional Information :
