POWTEC is seeking an Application Systems Analyst/Developer to support a government client by maintaining and developing .NET-based web applications. This remote role involves working with ASP.NET MVC architecture and Web Forms, primarily using C#, SQL, JavaScript, jQuery, and related tools. The candidate will support various phases of the software development lifecycle, including system design, development, testing, documentation, and end-user support.
Location: Onsite - Warren, MI
Clearance Required: Secret
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Key Responsibilities:
- Support and enhance ASP.NET MVC and Web Forms applications
- Design, develop, test, debug, and maintain .NET software solutions
- Write and update technical documentation including system architecture, processes, and user manuals
- Provide Tier 3 support for applications on SIPR and NIPR networks
- Perform system and software administration, including migration to DISA’s milCloud 2.0
- Participate in configuration management and change control processes
- Assist end users and troubleshoot technical issues
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on modernization, migration, and sustainment projects
Required Skills and Experience:
- Programming experience in ASP.NET MVC, C#, SQL, JavaScript, ColdFusion, or Oracle PL/SQL
- Strong understanding of .NET web development using MVC and Web Forms
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users
- Experience producing documentation that meets DISA STIG standards
- Familiarity with application/software administration and migration in milCloud 2.0
- Knowledge of Microsoft IIS, Apache Tomcat, or Java-based software environments is a plus
Education & Certifications:
- Associate’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 2–5 years of experience in software development, system or network administration, and application support
- U.S. Citizenship and active Secret Security Clearance required
- Must have or obtain DoD IAT Level I certification within 60 days of hire (e.g., Security CE, A CE, SSCP, Network CE, CCNA-Security, GSEC)
- Computing Environment certification in HTML/XML or Windows Server 2012/2016 preferred
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
- Remote work setting with occasional travel to client sites possible
- Requires extended periods of sitting, typing, and video conferencing
- Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs occasionally
