Poydras Home, a non-profit retirement community, recently certified as a Great Place to Work, serving Uptown New Orleans for over 200 years, is currently seeking a Part-time LPN for our community in Oak House, the Assisted Living Care Area.
The available shiftis 7am-7pm Thursday and Friday, and 3pm-7pm every other weekend.
The optimal candidate will posses strong supervisory skills and leadership qualities.

Responsibilities and Duties
- This individual provides a wide variety of resident care activities and services for assigned residents.
- He/she supervises the total care of the resident; performs assessment of resident condition; carries out physician orders; and coordinates the resident plan of care with ancillary staff.
Qualifications and Skills
- Currently licensed to practice as an LPN by the Louisiana State Board of Practical Nurse Examiners.
- Obtains continuing education as required by the Louisiana State Board of Practical Nurse Examiners.
- Possesses physical and mental health necessary to fulfill job requirements.
- Possesses ability to apply and execute orders given by physicians and registered nurses within the limitations of educational background/licensure, and with an understanding of the cause and effect of such action.
- Has the ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, residents, families, physicians, and the general public.
