Job Title: Project Manager
Contract Type: Full-time
Location: Clarksville, TN
Job Summary:
Poynter’s Project Managers independently lead a wide portfolio of projects in each of our service lines: Specialty, Commercial, and Industrial. For this position, your job is to plan, coordinate, execute and maintain an effective field construction organization utilizing the necessary labor, equipment, materials, and other company resources to effectively perform the scope of contracted work within an allotted budget and schedule. As a client-focused company, our project managers are expected to deliver results while maintaining positive client relationships.
Duties:
Review contracts, plans, specifications, submittals and other contract documents to create a job plan for the successful completion of assigned projects
- Establish project cost control centers for tracking of equipment material, labor, subcontracts and other miscellaneous costs
- Inspect the jobsite on a regular basis for contract compliance, workmanship and safety
- Procure necessary equipment, subcontracts and material Manage customer contacts for successful project completion & future business
- Ensure vendors and subcontractors abide by jobsite safety rules and maintain proper documentation
- Ensure that contractual obligations have been met and that all close-out documents and warranties are submitted
- Estimate and submit changes in the scope of work
- Review and approve all expenditures upon field completion, responsible for closeout documentation, warranty items, and collections of final retainages
- Performing quantitative takeoffs on construction projects
- Responsible for the buyout of subcontractors, issue contracts and pro-actively sequence and manage the subcontractor’s work including billings and change orders
- Perform labor control on assigned projects, including setup and maintenance; use this tool to adjust as necessary to maximize profits
- Complete and be accountable for the job cost control measures through monthly Financial Analysis Worksheets (FAW’s) on assigned projects
- Complete Contract Billings
