The Miami office of Pozo-Diaz & Pozo, P.A. is currently seeking enthusiastic Insurance Defense Litigation Paralegals to support the firm’s litigation function.
Qualifications/Competencies
- Eagerness to work in a fast-paced and challenging environment
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Proficient use of technology and automation resources, such as Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Prior insurance defense and/or personal/bodily injury litigation experience
- American Bar Association-approved Paralegal Certificate a plus
- Assist with discovery requests and responses; conduct document searches; collect applicable records via authorization/subpoena; organize documents and coordinate document productions, including bates-stamping, redaction, production logs, and e-discovery
- Manage calendaring and tracking of case deadlines throughout the life of a case
- Prepare litigation status reports and other project updates
- Prepare materials for oral arguments, depositions, mediation, and other litigation proceedings
- Prepare for trials, including organizing exhibits, witness materials, trial notebooks, and other supporting documents; and coordinating trial logistics
- Conduct legal research
- File and retrieve documents on federal court database
- Review, analyze and summarize client and plaintiff-submitted documents
