What are the responsibilities and job description for the Incentive Accounting Analyst, Industrial, Automotive and Packaging position at PPG Industries, Inc.?
As an Incentive Accounting Analyst, Industrial, Automotive and Packaging, you will be part of our Global Business Finance Support (GBFS) team located in Pittsburgh, PA. You will partner closely with the finance and commercial business leadership teams to provide accounting and analysis for customer incentive and marketing programs. You will assist with the month close and general accounting duties for the customer incentive programs. You will report to the Customer Invoicing & Incentive Accounting Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide oversite for the accounting and analysis for customer incentive accounting, such as rebates, prebates, and all other contractual incentives
- Review new and existing contracts for revenue recognition treatment, calculation of amortization on prebates and accruals for rebates.
- Lead the approvals for Credit Memo requests in Service Now that are incentive related.
- Collaborate with sales support to set up customers prebates, rebates, and fill incentives and review the progress.
- Contribute to balance sheet reviews, account reconciliations, entries and month end closing as it related to incentive accounting,
- Partner with IT to ensure all Industrial Coatings, Automotive and Packaging sales transaction and reporting systems are running smoothly.
- Be a liaison for all Internal and External audits.
- Support Incentive Accounting needs for other SBUs as needed.
