What are the responsibilities and job description for the THD Pro Manager position at PPG Industries, Inc?

The position of THD Pro Manager is responsible for owning the relationship with the Pro Desk at the Home Depot, developing new accounts / growth to drive incremental sales, and growing existing business year-over-year. This position is responsible for the relationship with Pro associates: pro desk activation, relationship building, and driving sales and sales activation. The role will be viewed as the expert driving value through knowledge and experience with PPG products.
You will report to the Regional Manager and work onsite in Denver, CO
Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive outside sales through THD Pros.
  • Develop account planning strategies and sales opportunities to drive significant incremental new growth, and understand existing business and the segments they serve.
  • Collaborate with store managers and employees to ensure customers' needs are met.
  • Partner with store territory managers and maintenance team to support customers & drive new business.
  • Assist ProDesk with any guidance and understanding of product knowledge needed.
  • Ensure outstanding customer service is provided to existing customer account by keeping up to date with current promotions, new products, and with current customer service practices to find opportunities for growth.
  • Use Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool to run accounts, maintain call logs and contact info, run reports.
  • Facilitate customer quotes to achieve margin targets according to PPG pricing strategies.

Qualifications:

  • 3 years of proven results in selling and relationship building in retail operations and contractor segment sales preferred.
  • High school diploma required
  • CRM software experience preferred
  • Daily travel within an assigned territory; must have a valid driver's license
  • Ability to build relationships with and influence a wide array of personality types from diverse backgrounds.
  • Self-directed/motivated and drive for sales results required
  • Pay range for this position is between: $60,000- $70,000
