What are the responsibilities and job description for the Customer Service Representative, Senior position at PPG Industries?
As a Customer Service Representative, Senio r you will provide a maximum level of customer service to assigned domestic and international accounts while working with SCM Silica Global Sales Team to ensure that sales and profitability goals are met. You will be a liaison between sales, plant and assigned customer accounts that are of critical importance to the SCM Silica business.
This will be a hybrid schedule (3 days in the office, 2 days remote) based in Monroeville, PA. You will report to the Sr. Strategic Account Manager. PPG offers excellent Medical, Dental, & Vision Benefits; matching 401k retirement savings; and Paid Vacation, Holiday pay. Paid training is provided!
Responsibilities :
- Coordinate contact with customers, assuring accurate order management processing, suggesting alternative products and services, and providing support in the resolution of customer complaints and issues.
- You will work with Sales, Logistics, Transportation, and Manufacturing with regard to product scheduling, capacity, service and systems issues, account priorities, customer ordering patterns, forecasting, and multiple customer issues that may arise throughout the order-to-cash process.
- Manage and apply working knowledge and application of Incoterms and payment terms; handle the review, processing, and approval of Letters of Credit, Bank Drafts, and Import Licenses.
- You will follow the procedures and activities surrounding PPG Export Compliance guidelines to process SCM international orders.
- Communicate with customers on activities essential to on-time delivery of orders and complaint resolution.
- Provide customers with and accurate information for our shipping capabilities and the status of orders from the time of receipt through shipment, delivery, and payment of invoice.
- Ensure resolution of unauthorized deducts (UADs) and assist in account receivable collections and resolutions.
- Provide all international documents from Commercial Invoices to SLI's so that the documentation for international shipments is done in an efficient and correct manner.
