Kiwa ASI is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to ensure accurate and timely financial statements. This role requires advanced QuickBooks experience, advanced Excel skills, and sharp analytical skills willing to also embrace some functions and own tasks or processes outside of the accounting department. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, ensuring accuracy in financial data while providing strategic advice and recommendations to senior leadership.
Financial Management & Accounting
•Oversee the accounting cycle, produce monthly financial statements and work closely with senior leadership for month and year-end close processes.
•Daily, weekly and Monthly posting of journal entries, accruals, always attentive to details and accuracy
•Monthly reconciliation of all accounts, including but not limited to Expense accounts, Cash, Credit Cards, Revenue, etc.
•Manage accounts payable and general ledger reconciliation.
•Ensure compliance with GAAP, US tax laws and some exposure to IFRS on an as-needed basis.
•Act as the gatekeeper in terms of approvals, Kiwa ASI policies and risk management in the business.
•Track and manage bank transactions, credit card charges, and expense reimbursements.
Financial Reporting & Analysis
•Develop monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for senior management.
•Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and cost-saving opportunities.
•Prepare reports for internal audits and support external audit requests.
Budgeting & Strategic Planning
•Work with the CEO to develop, manage, and maintain the annual budget.
Compliance & Process Optimization
•Ensure adherence to internal controls and corporate governance standards.
•Manage tax filings and collaborate with external tax firms and corporate Tax Manager to ensure compliance.
•Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation to enhance efficiency.
•Evaluate and implement the best practices in financial operations and reporting.
Required Education & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field.
• Experience working in a multinational corporation or a fast-paced, growth-focused environment.
Required Skills & Competencies
•5 years of progressive accounting experience
•Strong experience with QuickBooks
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.).
• Ideal exposure to reporting tools as Hyperion, OneStream etc.
• Deep knowledge and understanding of accounting with an inclination for continuous development.
• Solid knowledge of US tax laws, GAAP, and compliance regulations.
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and projects while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Self-starter with a proactive mindset, dedicated to adding value across the organization.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
• Excellent organizational and planning abilities, with a focus on process optimization.
