Electro-Mechanical Assembler
PPM designs, builds, and maintains lab wastewater and pure water systems, along with custom process solutions and being a UL 508A control panel shop. Our team of engineers, project managers and technicians work together to minimize risk, improve performance, and maintain compliance. Our designs and installations are based on years of field experience operating and upgrading systems. We provide fully packaged skids or modular designs for easier delivery and installation. Founded in 1998, we have grown with the Cambridge, MA life science industry and bring that expertise to all our projects around the country.
As an electro-mechanical assembler, you will be responsible for electrical and mechanical assembly of our products from small subassemblies to larger full treatment skids. This role will also assist with duties such as shipping/receiving, stocking, picking, small deliveries, and maintaining a clean and organized shop. We are seeking candidates with a positive attitude, friendly demeanor, and strong technical skills.
Job Responsibilities and Key Tasks:
- Mechanical assembly of products including high purity water treatment skids, pumping systems, and wastewater treatment systems using engineering drawings, bills of materials, and schematics.
- Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures.
- Electrical wiring of system skids and subassemblies including routing wire and cables through conduit and into control panels.
- Assist with final QC testing and documentation for new assemblies.
- Assist with shipping and receiving prep, stocking received components in our warehouse, and staging parts for upcoming builds.
- Maintain shop organization and cleanliness. Assist with implementation of new stocking and staging methods to improve material workflow.
- Assist with minor maintenance of company assets (vehicles, cranes, etc.)
- Make local deliveries and pickups as required using company van.
- Other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications and Requirements:
- High School diploma or GED
- Experience with basic hand and power tools for mechanical and electrical assembly.
- Experience with basic wiring and reading electrical schematics is preferred but not required
- Good communications skills, both written and oral.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs. unassisted
- An energetic, positive team player with the ability and desire to multi-task and help where needed
- Ability to pass a background check
