Position Summary: Key Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned): Review and endorse, when appropriate, documents/affidavits requiring execution by a Notary Public on behalf of the company. Confirm all documents/affidavits/pleadings have been executed and notarized properly based on state guidelines. Maintain an electronic notary journal of all official acts. Administer oaths during telephonic hearings or trials as required. Maintain knowledge of current department policies and procedures and apply as necessary in appropriate circumstances. Update department manager about any recent changes. Responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations and company policies across areas of organizational responsibility Other duties may be assigned Professional Experience/Qualifications: High school diploma or G.E.D required Must hold a current notary commission Must be a U.S. citizen 1-2 years of related experience as a notary in a law firm or municipal or state court or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred Must possess good organizational skills with a high attention to detail Proficient with Microsoft Office Work Environment: Work is performed in an office environment with telephones, personal computers, and printers. The office environment is an open workspace with individual workstations. The noise level of the environment is usually moderate. This position is a: Sedentary position with seldom to occasional lifting of less than 11 pounds; requires frequent lifting of less than 1 pound; and may require standing less than or equal to 1/3 of the day.
