Purpose of the Role : The Senior Accountant with payroll expertise plays a vital role in our manufacturing organization, maintaining financial reports, records, and general ledger systems; ensuring accuracy and compliance with payroll requirements and regulations.
Key Responsibilities :
- Maintain and manage all payroll information by designing systems, directing the collection, calculation, and entering of data for each business function.
- Prepare and review periodic payroll reports and summaries for management, including monthly, quarterly and year-end reports.
- Ensure the processing of new hires, temporary workers, transfers, promotions and terminations is accurate and timely.
- Analyze complex financial information and reports to provide accurate and timely financial recommendations to management for decision making.
- Manage the preparation and distribution of internal financial statements and reports.
- Ensures payroll updates in compliance with applicable local, state, and federal employment laws.
- Support budget and forecasting activities, including collaboration with other department managers to support overall goals and objectives.
- Work with internal and external auditors during financial and operational audits.
