The Industrial Water/Wastewater Technician provides expert advice and technical support in the operation, maintenance and repair of water treatment systems and wastewater treatment systems used in industry. This role involves conducting detailed inspections, interpreting data, and developing strategies to keep systems in compliance and working properly.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- High School Diploma with a MassDEP Wastewater or Water Certification Grade 2 or higher, or a related field.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in water/wastewater or a related field.
- Proven track record in sampling, repair, and operation of water/wastewater systems.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in field sampling and collection techniques.
- Strong understanding of environmental regulations and standards (e.g., EPA, OSHA).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in repair and operation.
- Effective communication and presentation skills.
- Project management experience is a plus.
Working Conditions:
- Combination of shop, office, laboratory, and field work (80% field work)
- Requires travel to client sites or contaminated locations.
- Ability to work in various environmental conditions and handle hazardous materials safely.
