We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Email Administrator to manage and maintain our organization's email and collaborative applications. The ideal candidate will have experience with Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft Intune, and domain administration. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our email infrastructure, supporting messaging services, and maintaining email security protocols. Key Responsibilities:
- Email System Administration:
- Provide direct installation, configuration, upgrade, and maintenance of Microsoft Exchange and Outlook to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Administer email accounts, including creation, deletion, modifications, and troubleshooting of email-related issues.
- Manage the Microsoft Exchange environment, ensuring its stability, security, and high availability.
- Collaborative Applications Management:
- Manage Microsoft Intune for mobile device management (MDM) and email security, ensuring seamless integration with email services.
- Administer other collaborative applications and tools related to email, calendaring, and messaging delivery.
- Public Folder Management:
- Create and delete public folders, manage folder permissions, and assign ownership to ensure the proper functioning and security of shared email resources.
- Handle the management of folder replication across multiple systems to maintain data consistency and accessibility.
- Documentation & Compliance:
- Develop, implement, and document collaborative computing procedures and policies, especially for email, calendaring, and messaging delivery, to ensure compliance with organizational and security requirements.
- Provide documentation and reporting for all email-related systems, processes, and configurations.
- Troubleshooting & Support:
- Troubleshoot and resolve email delivery, access issues, and related system failures.
- Provide support to end-users and internal teams for email-related concerns and requests.
- Security & Access Management:
- Implement and manage security protocols for email systems to protect against unauthorized access, spam, and malware.
- Ensure proper access controls are enforced, including user permissions and role-based access to email resources.
- System Optimization & Performance Monitoring:
- Regularly monitor email system performance, conduct system health checks, and perform necessary updates to ensure optimal functionality.
- Proactively identify and resolve issues to improve system reliability and performance.
- Collaboration & Teamwork:
- Collaborate with other IT teams to integrate email systems with other services and ensure cross-functional coordination.
- Work closely with security and network teams to align on email security policies and prevent threats.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Certifications:
- Must maintain a current Microsoft 365 Certified: Messaging Administrator Associate certification (A copy of the certification is required).
- Security Clearance:
- Public Trust clearance is required.
- Experience:
- Minimum of four (4) years of hands-on experience administering:
- Microsoft Exchange environments.
- Microsoft Intune for mobile device management and email security.
- Domain administration functions related to messaging systems.
- Knowledge & Skills:
- Solid understanding of Microsoft Exchange, Outlook, and related technologies.
- Experience with email security practices, including anti-spam, anti-virus, and encryption protocols.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for email delivery, authentication, and configuration issues.
- Proficiency with Active Directory, Group Policy, and security settings related to messaging systems.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to document procedures, policies, and configurations clearly.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to provide technical support to non-technical users.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with additional Microsoft 365 services (Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive).
- Familiarity with PowerShell scripting for Exchange and messaging automation tasks.
- Knowledge of email archiving solutions and data loss prevention (DLP) systems.

Pay: $88,839.00 - $96,988.00 per year
