What You’ll Do:
- Collaborate with teachers to deliver targeted, culturally responsive support in Algebra I and Biology
- Pull small groups of students out of class for focused tutoring sessions
- Engage students in small groups, fostering their understanding and confidence in math and science
- Provide one-on-one or small group assistance to address specific learning challenges
- Support classroom instruction by reinforcing key concepts and assisting with assignments
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that motivates students to achieve their goals
- Days: Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday
- Time: 9:47 AM to 1:47 PM
- Duration: February 11th, 2025 – May 16th, 2025 (excluding holidays and school conferences)
- Key Dates Off:
- February 17th–February 21st (Midwinter Recess)
- March 21st (High School Parent-Teacher Conferences)
- April 14th–April 18th (Spring Recess)
- Experience: Prior experience tutoring or teaching high school-level math and science subjects
- Bilingual Skills: Fluent in English and Spanish, with the ability to provide academic support in both languages
- Team Player: Collaborative spirit and a desire to work closely with teachers and students
- Communication: Strong verbal and written skills to connect effectively with diverse audiences
- Passion: A commitment to educational equity and social justice for minority and low-income students
- Availability: Must be able to work the specified schedule consistently
- Competitive Pay: Earn $24/hr with the opportunity to increase to $26.40/hr through a completion bonus
