What You’ll Do:
- Work closely with teachers and school leaders to provide engaging and focused small-group instruction in 6th - 8th-grademath
- Foster a positive learning environment that encourages curiosity and resilience
- Be a valued part of a team dedicated to transforming educational outcomes in underserved communities
- Days:Monday, Wednesday, and Friday
- Time:9:00 AM – 12:15PM
- Duration: January 22, 2025– June 13, 2025 (excluding holidays and school conferences)
- Key Dates Off:
- January 27: Professional Development Day (no students)
- January 29: Lunar New Year
- February 17–21: Midwinter Recess
- March 13: Middle School Parent Teacher's Conference
- March 31: Eid al-Fitr
- April 14–18: Spring Recess
- May 26: Memorial Day
- June 6: Clerical Day
- Experience: Prior experience tutoring or teaching middle school math
- Subject Proficiency: Strong knowledge ofmath at the middle school level
- Team Player: Collaborative spirit and a desire to work closely with teachers and students
- Communication: Strong verbal and written skills to connect effectively with diverse audiences
- Passion: A commitment to educational equity and social justice for minority and low-income students
- Availability: Must be able to work the specified schedule consistently
- Competitive Pay: Earn $22/hr with the opportunity to increase to $24.20/hr through a completion bonus
