What You’ll Do:
- Provide small-group ELA instruction to 5th-grade students
- Support students in developing reading comprehension, writing, and critical thinking skills
- Work alongside teachers to enhance classroom instruction and tailor support to individual student needs
- Foster a positive and structured learning environment that encourages student engagement and growth
- Adapt to different learning styles and provide targeted interventions as needed
- Days: Monday – Friday
- Time: 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM
- Duration: March 10, 2025 – April 11, 2025 (excluding holidays and school conferences)
- Key Dates Off:
- March 6 – Elementary and K-8 Parent-Teacher Conferences
- March 31 – Eid al-Fitr
- Experience: Prior tutoring or teaching experience in ELA at the elementary level
- Subject Proficiency: Strong understanding of 5th-grade ELA concepts and literacy instruction
- Engagement Skills: Ability to inspire and motivate students in a supportive learning environment
- Collaboration: Willingness to work closely with teachers and school staff to align instruction with classroom goals
- Adaptability: Capable of adjusting teaching strategies based on student needs
- Availability: Must be available for the full duration of the program
- Competitive Pay: Earn $22/hr with the opportunity to increase to $24.20/hr through a completion bonus
