What You’ll Do:
- Work closely with teachers and school leaders to provide engaging and focused small-group instruction in ELA and Math for your assigned grade level
- Foster a positive learning environment that encourages curiosity and resilience
- Be a valued part of a team dedicated to transforming educational outcomes in underserved communities
- Days: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday
- Time: 1:30 PM – 4:30 PM
- Duration: February 4– April 30, 2025 (excluding holidays and school conferences)
- Key Dates Off:
- February 17 – February 21 (Midwinter Recess)
- March 6 (Elementary and K-8 Parent-Teacher Conferences – Early Dismissal)
- March 31 (Eid al-Fitr)
- April 14 – April 18 (Spring Recess)
- Experience: Previous experience tutoring or teaching ELA and Math to elementary school students
- Subject Proficiency: Strong knowledge of ELA and Math at the 5th-grade level
- Team Player: Collaborative spirit and a desire to work closely with teachers and students
- Communication: Strong verbal and written skills to connect effectively with diverse audiences
- Passion: A commitment to educational equity and social justice for minority and low-income students
- Availability: Must be able to work the specified schedule consistently
- Competitive Pay: Earn $22/hr with the opportunity to increase to $24.20/hr through a completion bonus
