Position: Algebra 1 Regents Prep Tutor (Grades 9–12)

Location: Rockaway Collegiate High School, 100-00 Beach Channel Drive, Queens, NY 11694

Schedule: Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM (Some flexibility available)

Program Dates: May 5, 2025 – June 11, 2025

Pay: $22/hour with opportunity to earn $24.20/hour through completion bonus

About The Role

We're hiring a tutor to lead in-person Algebra 1 Regents prep at Rockaway Collegiate High School for students in grades 9–12. You’ll provide targeted small-group and one-on-one support, helping scholars build confidence and mastery ahead of the exam.

Responsibilities

• Provide engaging, standards-aligned Algebra 1 instruction
• Work with small groups or individual students
• Track and share student progress with school staff
• Foster positive relationships with students
• Support differentiated learning needs
  
  

Qualifications

• Experience working with high school students (tutoring or classroom)
• Strong grasp of Algebra 1 content
• Reliable, punctual, and organized
• Committed to educational equity
