Family Medicine Nurse Practitioner Job with Indiana University Health in Indianapolis, IN

IU Health Physiciansis seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join ourFamily Medicine team at our Avon clinic!Considerjoining an experienced team in a growing suburb!

Position Details:

• Full-time, Day Shift
• 36 hours a week (10% flex time). Must have 2 hours a week outside of 8am-5pm
• No weekends, holidays, or call, allowing for work/life balance
• 100% outpatient
• Expected patient volume is 60-70/week seeing children and adults
• Experienced and collaborative team environment
  
  

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess health status through obtainment of relevant health history and comprehensive physical exam, preventative screening, and identification of medical risk factors.
• Formulate appropriate differential diagnosis and identification of individual, family, and community needs.
• Develops treatment plan to maximize the health potential of the individual, family, and/or community.
• Orders and adjusts medication per collaborative written agreement and prescriptive authority in accordance with the Indiana Nurse Practice Act, or in consultation, and with signature of physician.
• Serves as a clinical resource for the nursing staff, physicians, hospital, and other healthcare providers.
• Serves as an advocate for patients, staff, and management.
• Manage acute and long-term care of the patient.
  
  

Qualifications:

• Master's degree required
• FNP certification required
• 2 years of APP experience referred
• Will consider newgraduates with ICU, ER or Critical Care RN Experience
