Position Overview: Columbus Regional Health Physicians is seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) to join our established hospitalist program as a flexible nocturnist team member. This unique position offers the opportunity to join a collegial, supportive environment while maintaining work-life balance.
About Our Program:
- 20 provider hospitalist group serving medical-surgical floors and step-down unit
- Daytime coverage: 7 physicians, 1 APP
- Dedicated swing shift (11a-11p) for admissions
- Currently nights are staffed by two established nocturnist teams (APP/physician pairs) working 7on/7off
- Average census: 90
- Average number of admissions total admissions per night:13
- Closed ICU model
- 7 shifts per 2-week period (7p-7a)
- Approximately 75% of shifts candidate will work with another APP and physician, 25% candidate will work with physician only
- Primary responsibilities:
- Alternating admissions with physician (and if present, 2nd APP)
- Divide Cross-coverage duties with physician (and if present, 2 nd APP)
- Working independently within collaborative team structure
- Flexible scheduling determined 3 months in advance
- Cover approximately 40 PTO shifts annually for current nocturnist APPs
- Work as third provider on approximately 75% of shifts, allowing shared workload
- Variable monthly schedule offering diversity in work pattern
