St. Peters Health Partners Medical Associates, seeks to recruita board-certified Neonatologist for our level 2 NICU at Bellevue Womans Center located in Schenectady, NY. This is a fulltime hospital-employed opportunity. There is also opportunity to moonlight at St Peters Hospital level 3 NICU in Albany, NY.
The neonatologist will care for infants in the NICU and mother-baby unit, provide high-risk OB/neonatal consults, and attend high-risk deliveries. Bellevue's Level 2 Special Care Nursery is one of only three in northeastern New York that provides these specialized services for infants over 30 weeks' gestation in-need of non-surgical medical intervention and care.
Bellevue Womans Center, a service of Ellis Medicine, is the regions only inpatient facility dedicated to the care of women and infants - a trusted name in women's health for three-quarters of a century. Bellevues OB/GYN services include breast care, surgery, gynecologic care and maternity, and features the region's first OB/GYN Hospitalist program to deliver enhanced care for pregnant women.

POSITION DETAILS
- 2,000 deliveries annually;
- 15 bed level 2B NICU;
- Average 190 NICU admissions annually, (ADC 4.6)
- Mother-baby census, ADC 10
- 2 providers on weekdays dividing NICU, mother baby unit and LDR
- 15 dayshifts, 8 out of house night calls (including 1 weekend) per month;
- Out of house call within 20-minute radius;
- Care for infants gestational age 30 weeks and older and birthweight greater than 1250 grams;
- Supervision and teaching of family medicine residents.
