UK King's Daughters is a 465-bed regional referral center in Ashland, Kentucky. We are part of the University of Kentucky Health system. We own 40 primary care clinics in outlying areas of Kentucky and Ohio which refer patients from a catchment area of about 750,000 people to our main campus for testing and treatment. This year, we have begun a large construction project on campus, which will provide us with a brand-new ER and an all-new Imaging Department. Our Emergency Department sees more than 70,000 patients per year. We have almost all medical specialties at our facility, except pediatric subspecialties. About three years ago, a nearby hospital in our community was shut down, and since that time, our facility has been experiencing tremendous growth in our patient volumes.
We have an opening for a full-time PM&R physician. The physician will join our Interventional Spine and Pain Center, will be an employee of the medical center, and will receive a salary guarantee of $315K and wRVU productivity compensation. The incoming physician will also earn excellent benefits (health, vision, dental, life, retirement), six weeks of vacation, and an additional week for CME. Additionally, we offer a signing bonus and student loan repayment. We are specifically looking for candidates who are interested in reading EMGs.

We have a clean town with minimal traffic, a beautiful and very active performing arts theater, indoor tennis, a large downtown park, and boutique shopping. Our Tri-State region (Kentucky, Ohio and West Virginia) is renowned for safe, family-friendly communities with an excellent cost of living. We also have some of the country's finest state parks that feature golf, skiing, boating, fishing, hunting and biking. We have four seasons, all of which are relatively mild.
